TVD: Joseph Morgan Talks “friends” with Caroline and . . . boiling bunnies??

Let’s get to that “boiling bunnies” thing first.

When asked how Klaus would probably spend the recent Easter holiday, Joesph, without missing a beat, answers, “probably boiling bunnies” when FearNet spoke to him recently on the phone! Boiling bunnies?! Yeah. Probably. But, if he had his shirt off while doing it, would anyone mind? Ok. Yeah. Still pretty disturbing. And, not in accordance with Damon’s being “bad with purpose” instructions either!

Now, on to that “friends” thing with Caroline . . . she didn’t answer when he asked her, but she didn’t scream “no” either.

klaus and caroline
Klaus and Caroline (Candice Accola) are now officially “friends.” At this point, where are his head and heart when it comes to her?

Klaus is still very much enamored with her. Look, he felt he was dying and called Caroline. Not his sister. Not his brother. That says a lot about where he is in terms of his feelings towards her. We had that episode where Caroline was dying (Into the Wild) and she said, “I know you’re in love with me.” Klaus wants to believe he is, that he is someone capable of love. We’ll see how it plays out, but he’s definitely on board with the idea of being with her.

It was very interesting that Klaus called Caroline. However, who else was he going to call? Rebekah was out with Elena trying to track down the cure, Elijah had gone into hiding after Kol’s firey demise . . . who was left? The Salvatore brothers were pursuing the girls. He certainly wasn’t going to call Tyler. Hayley? Yeah, think that was pretty much it for that little duo. Matt? Hardly. So . . . it wasn’t exactly a declaration of love that he called Caroline. She was pretty much the only one in town.

It sounds like Klaus is going a little soft.

A little soft? Not really, no. What is great is we’re getting to explore more of his vulnerable side, certainly in last night’s episode (American Gothic) where he believed he was dying. We absolutely got to explore some of that fear and vulnerability. The thing about Klaus is just as soon as you start to like him and believe he’s a better person, he goes out and slaughters 12 hybrids with a sword or kills someone’s mom. I believe until the end of this character, whenever that may be, I’ll continue to go through these cycles of vulnerability. He has his ups and downs, which is what makes him such a wonderful character to play.

As long as those “cycles of vulnerability” look a lot like this . . . I’m on board! 4.18.7

Annnnnnyyyyyyway . . .

Joesph talks a little about Klaus’s future. Will he turn out like Damon? “Bad with purpose?

'Vampire Diaries' Style: How to Dress Like Elena and Caroline for Your Own Prom

The Mystic Falls vamps are celebrating prom night, and in typical Vampire Diaries fashion, they're doing it in high style. Sneak peek photos from the upcoming April 18 episode have revealed Elena and Caroline's prom dresses — and they're both gorgeous.

Elena is wearing a vibrant strapless printed ball gown by Theia that retails for the hefty price tag of $1495 (and even if you could afford her exact gown, it's currently sold out). Caroline, meanwhile, looks stunning in an ivory strapless gown with intricate beading and a mermaid skirt by Sherri Hill that retails for $898.

If you're gearing up for your own prom night and want to replicate these Vampire Diaries looks (but don't have endless bloodsucker cash handy), we've got you covered! Check out these similar styles we found at a fraction of the price:

A List of People Klaus Has Killed on The Vampire Diaries

Klaus Grabs a Bite in Season 3, Episode 13:” Bringing Out the Dead”

Aw, who’s a cute little villain? Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has a bit of a temper on The Vampire Diaries, which often leads to him snapping — and snapping necks. Before we even met the hybrid, Katherine (Nina Dobrev) was detailing the way the tempestuous supernatural had hunted down and killed her entire family. Not exactly the kind of guy you want to bring home to mother, because he’s likely to eat her right in front of you.

But as bad as he was, Klaus started softening up after his killing spree with his BFF, Ripper Stefan (Paul Wesley). Falling in love will do that to a guy. It seemed Klaus was running out of evil steam as Season 3 drew to a close — but then he went after Elena (Nina Dobrev). Draining her of blood, stealing Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) body, and leaving Rebekah (Claire Holt) to be taken hostage by Pastor Young proved Klaus was still bad to his hybrid bones in Season 4. Here are a list of the OV’s victims.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES’ Killer Controversy: Is It Time to Stick a Stake in Elena?

Since it first debuted 4 years ago, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES has never been shy about killing off characters. In fact, they have taken such a no-holds-barred approach to it that major character deaths are now expected. Most recently, the loss of Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen) added to the long list of deaths of characters fans were attached to; before that, there had been the death’s Alaric (Matt Davis), Jenna (Sara Canning), John (David Anders), Isobel (Mia Kirshner), Anna (Malese Jow), Lexi (Arielle Kebbel)– and to a lesser degree Grams, Vicki (Kayla Ewell), Mason (Taylor Kinney), Rose (Lauren Cohan), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), Finn (Casper Zafer), Esther (Alice Evans), Carol Lockwood (Susan Walters), and Bill Forbes (Jack Coleman).

What I propose here is that THE VAMPIRE DIARIES that has never been

The Vampire Diaries Originals Spin-Off: New Orleans Atmosphere, Drunks

Joseph Morgan, Claire Holt, and Daniel Gillies are The Originals on February 25, 2013

The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals is set to debut on April 25, and Entertainment Weekly has a first look at the pilot.

The show looks absolutely gorgeous, as it was filmed in New Orleans in mid-March — over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, actually. The city had more than its fair share of revellers, Joseph Morgan (Klaus) tells EW, and not just for the vampire parties.

“[I]t was St. Patrick’s Day weekend over that period that we were filming in the hotel,” says Joseph, “so we’d suddenly have to stop production while an incredibly inebriated couple stumbled through this vampire party trying to make it to their room.”

It’s Klaus’s former protégé Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) who is responsible for the bloodsuckers’ bashes. Vampires have free reign in New Orleans, thanks to him. “Marcel’s got people to look the other way while they have these crazy hedonistic parties and do whatever they want,” says Joseph.

Vampire Diaries Road Trips: Where in the World Have They Been?

Elena and Stefan in Vampire Diaries Season 2, Episode 14: "Crying Wolf"

Sometimes the kids of Mystic Falls need to get out of town for a while. Maybe they need to retrieve a relative or hunt down an enemy, or maybe they just want to have a little fun, eat some Cheetos, and drink some gas station coffee. And you know what that means: road trip!

We’ve loved tagging along on all The Vampire Diaries road trips, but for such very, very different reasons that it’s hard to pick a favorite. Let’s look back and decide, shall we? Shotgun!

Destination: Damon’s Witchy Ex!

Damon and Elena Chat Over Lunch in Season 1, Episode 11: "Bloodlines"

In Season 1, Episode 11, “Bloodlines,” Damon (Ian Somerhalder) took Elena (Nina Dobrev) on a whirlwind trip to Georgia to track down his bartender ex Bree. They got drunk and flirty for the first time, and then he killed the mood by ripping someone’s heart out. You can’t take that guy anywhere.

Destination: Duke University

Damon, Elena, and Alaric in Episode 2.3, "Bad Moon Rising"

In Season 2, Episode 3, “Bad Moon Rising,” Damon, Elena, and Alaric (Matt Davis) hit the road to Duke University, looking for Isobel. Damon and Alaric were BFFs-to-be, which could have been fun, but we’re guessing the fact that Damon had just murderedJeremy (Steven R. McQueen) made for some really uncomfortable silences.

Destination: Damsel in Distress

Vampire Diaries Caption-Off From Episode 2.8, "Rose"

Damon and Stefan (Paul Wesley) had to become car buddies in Season 2, Episode 8, “Rose,” when they went on one of their many Elena-rescue missions, this time to Reidsville, North Carolina. Stefan was grateful that Damon came to help retrieve his kidnapped girlfriend, but Damon wasn’t havin’ it: “Can we not do the whole road trip bonding thing? The cliché of it all makes me itch.” Yikes.

'The Vampire Diaries' recap: The New Deal

As Caroline helped Klaus recover, Elijah returned and got himself hurt

This could be the moonshine cocktails I consumed at a party before watching this episode talking, but I was very sad to see the TV rating for this hour didn’t include an ‘S.’ I thought the shocking and horrifying thing that Daniel Gillies teased Elijah would do was get hot and heavy with Elena, who'd attempt to seduce him for the cure. But no. It was that he’s been hooking up with Katherine since she first heard about the cure and reached out to him to broker a deal with Klaus for her freedom. Couldn’t we have gotten a steamy flashback to their first time, Scandal-style? Perhaps someday...

As the episode began, Elena and Rebekah were having a tough time finding Katherine. Elena wanted to have a bite to eat before they drove to yet another town. She was about to feed on a woman when the would-be victim said, “Katherine, what are you doing?” Katherine had compelled

What to Expect in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 19: “Pictures of You”

Damon and Elena at Prom in Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 19: “Pictures of You”

The extended promo for The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 19, “Pictures of You” is a swirl of prom dreams. Actually, it’s more of Elena (Nina Dobrev) being her no-emotions self — but in a fancy gown. We’ll take you through the promo second by second so you can watch her break a certain Salvatore’s heart.

0:01 — Damon says Elena doesn’t want the cure.
Um, what was your first clue.

0:02 — “She’s gonna start killing people...”
Too late.

0:03 — The Salvatores are playing catch.
This makes our Defan hearts happy.

0:04 – 0:05 — “So, we just make her want it.”
Can’t wait to find out the logistics of this brilliant scheme.

0:06 — THURSDAY
Don’t lie to us, clip. We know TVD is on hiatus until April 18.

0:07 APRIL 18
Oh, there it is. Sorry for doubting you, clip.

0:08 — Stefan gets out of a limo.
OMG, this is the TVD-Bachelorette crossover we’ve been waiting for!

0:09 — Just kidding, it’s prom.
Elena’s dress is fantastic, though. We’d give her a first-impression rose.

0:10 — Stefan’s got it covered with a corsage.
Always beating us to the punch, Salvatore.

0:11 — “You snapped a waitress’s spine.”
Typical prom talk. Next they’ll be discussing where they’re going to college — if Elena applied to any, that is.

0:12 – 0:14 — “Don’t eat the prom queen.”
Mystic Falls High has a prom queen? We would’ve assumed she’d be called “Miss Harvest Fest” or something.

0:15 — Elena has two prom dates.
Probably still not the weirdest thing she’s done at a school function this year.

0:16 – 0:18 — “I feel nothing for you, Damon.”
That’s pretty much what she told Stefan a couple days ago, right?

0:19 — “At a Last Dance”
RIP, twice-yearly Decade Dances.

0:20 — Bonnie says Elena’s gone.
Like, physically? Mentally? We’re thinking Bonnie’s an expert on crazy right now.

0:21 — Stefan takes Elena for a spin.
He moves like a man who’s been dancing since the Civil War.

0:22 — Damon watches, jealously.
He totally wants to dance with Stefan. Kidding. Kidding.

0:23 — Almost-kissing Stefan and Elena.
This is unexpected...

0:24 — The Vampire Diaries title card
Really, clip? That’s where you end it?!

'Vampire Diaries': Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies on filming Originals spin-off pilot in New Orleans -- EXCLUSIVE PHOTO

The-Vampire-Diaries-The-Originals-ITV-03.jpg

In the new issue of Entertainment Weekly on newsstands today, we have the exclusive first look at the April 25 episode of The Vampire Diaries, which serves as a backdoor pilot for an Originals spinoff set in The Big Easy. In that hour, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) return to New Orleans — a city they helped build, then fled about 100 years ago when Mikael chased them out — and find that Klaus’ former protégé Marcel (The Game‘s Charles Michael Davis) has turned it into a town where, for all intents and purposes, vampires walk the streets freely. “Marcel’s got people to look the other way while they have these crazy hedonistic parties and do whatever they want,” Morgan says. Shooting one of those soirees earlier this month at New Orleans’ Hotel Royal, which doubled for Marcel’s home, proved memorable for the actor…

“It was three floors of balconies that looked down on the courtyard. Klaus is walking into the party, and there’s all these people feeding and doing really crazy, crazy things. So

Elena Shocks in Pink

How does Elena (Nina Dobrev) choose her Theia prom dress?

On the April 18 episode of The Vampire Diaries, Elena, Stefan, Bonnie, Damon and the rest of the gang trade jeans and leather jackets for taffeta and tuxes. That’s right, it’s prom season in Mystic Falls!

Whether human, vampire, werewolf, or witch, Vampire Diaries costume designer Leigh Leverett said she kept the first rule of prom fashion in mind when dressing each of the characters for the big night — Make sure no one else shows up wearing the same dress. “[The girls] tried on a bunch of gowns, probably 6 to 10 each. We picked a bunch that we liked, so it was just figuring out who [would wear] what so that they weren’t all in the same silhouettes or colors.” As for the guys, it came down to the ties.

The Vampire Diaries Poll: Who Do You Think Takes Caroline to the Prom?

Caroline and Damon at Prom in Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 19: “Pictures of You”

We already know Elena (Nina Dobrev) is hogging some of the most eligible bloodsuckers in town in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 19, “Pictures of You.” Both Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) escort her to the prom. So who’s Caroline (Candice Accola) going to go with?

According to the synopsis, Caroline does ask Klaus (Joseph Morgan) for some assistance in something Elena-related. Perhaps the Original then offers to be her date for the big dance? Now that they’re “friends,” that shouldn’t be a problem, right?

Or maybe Tyler (Michael Trevino) risks the OV’s wrath and heads back to Mystic Falls for a magical night?

Matt (Zach Roerig) is probably available, too. Despite everything that’s happened between him and Caroline, the good guy will always be a gentleman and help out his friend.

We’re equally curious about who Bonnie (Kat Graham) will take to prom. She’s probably still pretty upset about Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) — we’re glad someone is! — so we can’t see her being overly enthusiastic about the event. Perhaps Silas/Shane (David Alpay) will be her date? Nah, more likely, she’ll go solo.

Do you think Caroline will follow suit and swear off an escort — or will she cave and let one of her “friends” be her date for the evening?

Spoiler Photo: Rebekah’s First Dance!

New photos of Rebekah at the prom in episode 19 “Pictures of you” emerged and she is looking fabulous in a yellow gown!

Pictures of You

ew.com talked to Vampire Diaries costume designer Leigh Leverett and here is what she had to say about Rebekah’s gown: “We don’t get to do a lot of color on the show, so we figured with the prom, we could at least throw in a splash of color,” the costume designer says of choosing the Jolene gown. “It felt like the big, yellow, quintessential prom dress, [which] worked perfectly for her.” After all, it is Rebekah’s first school dance!

As for Elijah’s suit – it’s a rental! After all he doesn’t attend the prom – just pays a visit. Still, declares Leverett, “that man can wear a suit!”

'THE VAMPIRE DIARIES': ELENA AND ELIJAH, SITTING IN A TREE...

Elijah returned in The Vampire Diaries episode American Gothic.

There's nothing better than an episode of The Vampire Diaries featuring the best member of the original family, Elijah. Actually, that's not true: the best ones have flashback hair. But although "American Gothic" featured a modern-day eldest Original brother, it still managed to be an excellent episode — thanks in large part to the hour's many dynamic duos.
The race to find the cure isn't quite as interesting now that Elena's a vampire biyotch, but it got a lot more fun when she teamed up with Rebekah to hunt down Katherine. Ms. Pierce was holed up in a small town in Pennsylvania, where she'd compelled the natives to let her feed off of them and forget her immediately after. Elena and Rebekah managed to catch her and keep her hostage in a diner (thanks to a grisly fork-to-hand impalement situation), sending Elena to a mysterious meeting in her place.

Who was that meeting with, you might ask. Who's "em," the person in Kat's calendar? Apparently, Katherine DGAF about punctuation, and those were the initials of one Elijah Mikaelson, general badass m-f'er and Katherine's boyfriend. HER BOYFRIEND. Which we

What’s with Elijah and The Petrova Doppelgangers???

2

Last episode of The Vampire Diaries marked the return of our beloved Original brother - Elijah. He was as dashing as ever, no news there – but the thing that left us open mouthed was his relationship with Katherine, not to mention that kiss he gave to Elena while thinking she was his Katerina!

We know that Elijah have had romantic feelings towards Katherine when he first met her and also he was pretty clear about his affection towards Elena. After all, he seems to be the only Original who really cares about Elena and the only Original Elena actually likes. So, where does this all come from and is there a reason why Elijah prefers the Doppelgangers?

1

It is actually pretty obvious. It all started with the Original Petrova – Tatia. During his early life, before becoming a vampire, both he and Klaus fell in love with the beautiful Tatia and even fought over her. Elijah even mentioned their feelings for The Original Petrova to Klaus in Season Two, Episode “Klaus”: Klaus tells Elijah about “love” being a vampire’s biggest weakness when Elijah tells Klaus about having feelings, caring and humanity. Klaus says that vampires do not feel and they do not care but then Elijah mentions about Tatia by saying “We did once” to which Klaus replies by saying “It`s too many lifetimes ago to matter.”

Eshter, the mother of Elijah and Niklaus, used her in the spell to create the

Poor Rebekah (Claire Holt). The cure was in her grasp, she gulped it down, then discovered she’d been foiled by Katherine (Nina Dobrev) with a fake dose. So will anyone get the cure in Season 4?

Yep. TV Guide got some Vampire Diaries spoilers at WonderCon over the weekend, when executive producer Julie Plec spoke on the Fan Favorites Showrunner panel. She told the crowd that someone will definitely take the cure.

Now, who could it be? There are
