The Vampire Diaries 4×18 American Gothic Synopsis

Here’s some more scoop on The Vampire Diaries American Gothic episode which will air March 28th on the CW at 8/7 central.

It’s always a good thing when Mystic Falls adversaries bury the hatchet, and that’s just want Elena Gilbert and Rebekah Mikaelson will do. Rebekah and Elena both want to get the cure back, and Elena wants to get even for Jeremy’s death, so they join forces to try and track down manipulative yet sexy Katherine Pierce (who is also played by the sexy Nina Dobrev). As the Relena team set out on a road trip on a quest for the cure, they’ll naturally run into some old friends and foes who are on their on search for Katheine, and plenty of run and surprises will be in store for all of us!

RACE FOR THE CURE

Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) take off in search of Katherine  (also played by Nina Dobrev) and find themselves in a small town in Pennsylvania, where Elena has a surprising encounter with another old acquaintance — Elijah (guest star Daniel Gillies). Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) are both concerned about Elena’s state of mind and are determined to do what’s best for her, but she makes it clear that helping her will be difficult. Damon is not sure how to react when Stefan reveals his unexpected plan for the future. Meanwhile, in Mystic Falls, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) receives Caroline’s (Candice Accola) reluctant help and comes to a new understanding of Silas’ powers.

I know we’ll all be glued to our TVs on March 28th to watch The Vampire Diaries American Gothic episode to catch all the harrowing adventures these two powerful and sexy vampires get into. Katherine better watch her back or she’ll get the same treatment she got when Klaus tortured her and make her stab herself repeatedly in the leg for hours!

Any thoughts on what the Elena and Rebekah team should be called? I suggested Relena but other suggestions are Elenkah or Rebelena. Everybody’s thoughts and comments are welcome! And if the picture of Relena looks familiar, it’s a take on the famous Grant Wood portrait that shows a farmer with a pitchfork and his wife in a homey apron. From the way Rebekah looks, she may be wondering if Elena is going to stab her with that pitchfork!

Currently The Vampire Diaries is on hiatus, but the episodes are back starting next week, March 14th with the “Bring It On” episode. The “American Gothic” episode airs March 28th, and the excitement keeps building up to April 25th when the backdoor pilot for “The Originals” airs!
