The Vampire Diaries Spoilers: What’s Bonnie’s Problem?

Bonnie in The Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 10: “After School Special”

Come on, Mystic Falls gang. Get it together! Your friend Bonnie (Kat Graham) is talking about committing ritual sacrifice and all you can do is attend parties thrown by an unemotional vampire?

The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec tells Zap2It that the witch will soon come back into the picture. Her pals should be more worried than ever because Bonnie hasn’t given up on the idea of lifting the veil — and resurrecting all the deceased supernaturals — to bring back Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). “She's at a fork in the road, and that is definitely one of the prongs in the road," Julie says.

Having an undue amount of influence on her (probably because all her friends are too busy cheerleading) is Shane (David Alpay) — or Silas in Shane’s body. "Definitely,
we haven't seen the height of intensity of Bonnie's storyline yet,” Julie teases. “This Shane/Silas person has an enormous amount of control over Bonnie. Shane as a human, Professor Shane, with no supernatural abilities whatsoever, was able to get such a strong hold on Bonnie that she came to believe she couldn't control her own magic without him. Now that you add a supernatural component to that, it becomes really extreme and really severe."

OK, we know Elena (Nina Dobrev) is a little out of control at the moment, but Bonnie needs some assistance, too. We’d have thought Caroline (Candice Accola) would be better at multitasking.
